Introducing Ryan Corbett

It is our great pleasure to introduce our new IntLawGrrls contributor Ryan Corbett!

Ryan is currently the Project Manager for the Alternative Pathways to Resettlement project at Asylum Access in Malaysia. She previously worked at the same organisation as a legal advisor for refugee status determination cases. She holds a J.D. from Boston University School of Law. During her time in law school, she was the Editor-in-Chief of the International Law Journal and founded the BU chapter of the International Refugee Assistance Project (IRAP).

She has experience working on refugee and migration issues in Malaysia, the United States, Egypt, and Israel. Her research interests are in the areas of forced migration, refugee rights, and citizenship.

In addition to her J.D., Ryan holds a Master’s degree in Conflict Resolution from Tel Aviv University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy and Religion from Dickinson College.
