It is our pleasure to introduce our new IntLawGrrls contributor Ariel Wheway!
Ariel is a student in her final year of the joint Juris Doctor and Masters of Arts in International Affairs program at the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law and the Norman Patterson School of International Affairs at Carleton University. Her studies have focused on Public International Law, and specifically International Human Rights Law and International Criminal Law.
She is the current president of the International Law Students Association at the University of Ottawa where she organizes events to help educate other students on international law. She is also completing a fellowship with the UN Special Rapporteur on the Right to Adequate Housing and is a member of the University of Ottawa’s International Criminal Court moot team. She is passionate about international human rights and criminal law and hopes to practice in these areas in the future.
Heartfelt welcome!
