It is our great pleasure to introduce our new IntLawGrrls contributor Ebru Demir!
Ebru Demir is a PhD researcher and an associate tutor (AT) at the University of Sussex Law School. Ebru holds an LLM degree in International Law from the University of Nottingham and a BA degree from Istanbul University.
Ebru’s PhD research focuses on gender issues in the transitional justice process in Bosnia and Herzegovina. During her fieldwork in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ebru worked as an intern in a women’s organization, Medica Zenica. Occasionally, she reviews books on transitional justice at LSE Review of Books Blog.
Ebru’s academic interests include international law, transitional justice, gender and conflict, human rights. She is particularly interested in gender-based analyses of transitional justice processes.
