This installment of Write On!, our periodic compilation of calls for papers, includes calls to submit papers to American University’s Washington College of Law, as follows:

► The Academy on Human Rights and Humanitarian Law at American University Washington College of Law (AUWCL) is accepting submissions for its Human Rights Essay Award, an essay competition that seeks to stimulate the production of scholarly work in international human rights law.

The topic for the award this year is Gender Violence and International Human Rights Law and participants have the flexibility to explore any subject related to the assigned topic, in either English or Spanish as one winner is chosen in each language. The deadline for submission is February 1, 2018.

Winners will be awarded a full scholarship to attend the Academy’s Program of Advanced Studies on Human Rights and Humanitarian Law from May 29 – June 15, 2018.
