It’s our great pleasure today to welcome Olga Jurasz as an IntLawGrrls contributor. Olga is a Lecturer in Law at the Open University (UK). Olga’s main area of research is gender and international law, with particular focus on international humanitarian law, international criminal law, transitional justice and international refugee law. Her current research aims to analyse the response mechanisms of international law to the impact of armed conflict on women.
Olga has an LLB (Hons) (Aberystwyth University) and a Diploma in International Humanitarian Law (ICRC, Geneva). Prior to joining Open University in 2011, Olga taught on a range of undergraduate law modules at Aberystwyth University. She also taught international humanitarian law and human rights to distance learning LLM students. She is a member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Gender Studies and a member of American Society of International Law. Olga is also a member of a Research Network on Sexual Violence in Armed Conflict.
